Sttch Exhibiting @ Faraya M'zaar Festival Lebanon

I took Sttch (my home furnishing line) to exhibition grounds at the yearly five day Faraya M'zaar Summer Festival in Lebanon, August 2010.

Out on the grass, I showed Sttch's "Color Fiesta" and "Naturale" home collections.
The collections featured local heritage upholstery with vibrant colors using Cotton and ethnic & raw themes with earthy colors using Silk, Linen & Jute.

Both collections are true to sustainable living and Eco-friendly philosophy that I have integrated as part of Sttch. I achieve this by using natural materials and solid wood to make furniture and soft furnishings making my products live long and at the same time biodegradable.

Here are some photos from Sttch's booth at Faraya M'zaar:

Booth at night:

Faraya is an area up on the mountains famous for ski resorts in Lebanon. In the summer, Faraya is dry and cool unlike the coast, which is hot and humid. It is booming in the summer season where the Lebanese come to enjoy the cool weather in their mountain homes.

During the exhibition my family and I spent a week up there in a two bedroom Challet and my lovely friends came over to help around the booth too. We had a blast in this exhibition, even my two year old daughter found plenty of activities to keep her happy.

The exhibition featured famous brands as well as artisans and artists showing their work. I love the artisan section, very inspiring. The exhibition ended with a truly artistic fireworks show!

Blogging My Way

Hi, I am a new blogger on the blog. I have been blogging for less than a month now. I am just beginning to understand this vast and lovely world of blogging. I never expected to get so much visitors in just a few days of creating this blog. I didn't expect to see so much inspiring ideas from other blogs in such a short time!

I am officially in love with this world. It gives me an extra opportunity to explore my creative potential and share what I love. I feel I belong here... and so be it!

Here's an inspiring compilation from a blog I have come to love "Decor8" for their e-course "Blogging Your Way". For more go to: http://decor8blog.com/byw-newsletter

I might consider signing for this e-course. But I'll wait and see how much I learn on my own in the next few months.

Happy Blogging everyone.

Greek Summer Dreams

Fall is here but I'm still enjoying spirit of Summer. Lebanon, the land where I live, still has the summer sun shining.

I am going now to Sail in a Lazer boat before the storm hits tomorrow. But after the storm the sun will shine again and I will go to sail again.

So before the winter kicks in I share with you photos of  Greek coastal houses to inspire.

I might do my next summer collection based on these colors... who knows??!

It is amazing... as a designer, I prepare for the summer collection in the winter and for the winter collection in the summer!

The following sequence of photos of Santorini are by the photographer Rolf Hicker who has amazing photos from his travels. You can visit to see more of his work on http://www.hickerphoto.com

The next Sequence are bits n' pieces of Greek Exteriors and Interiors from anonymous photographers and designers. If anyone knows whom to credit any of the following to, please let me know, I'd be happy to acknowledge them.

In all cases I'm very glad to share this inspiring sequence and thankful for their creators... For what are beautiful things for? For us to enjoy them:)

Enjoy what is left of the sun... & I'll keep you posted:)
